Mediums should always work with the Gods
Mediumship circles are often seen as standalone with students only working with the dead and nurturing that connection, but who do you go to when it goes wrong?
Mediumship circles are fantastic and often the first spiritual development group people have access to.
If you have never attended one - you tend to sit in a circle with the other participants, meditate and practice connecting to the dead. You should be learning various techniques such as grounding, protection and the symptoms of an attachment.
Often there is mention of a persons ‘guide’ with everyone in the group having a different one ranging from an Ancestor to a seemingly random dead person.
But what of the Gods?
What of the Lords and Ladies of the dead in indigenous cultures?
Jesus dying did not extinguish the Underworlds, it did not end the journey humans go on when we move from one world to the next.
So it makes sense for you to have a Patron God, Goddess, Lwa, Orisha, etc, and believe me they will come for you.
Before the destruction of death cults if it was seen that you had the skill/gift of seeing the dead you would join the local death cult in your area and work develop under a Priestess/Priest of a particular God.
This means that not only would you learn how to work with the dead but that you were also under the protection of that God. You invested in them and they invested in you.
You were a little piece of that God on earth, representing them in society and helping your community.
You had your elders (Priestess) for questions and the inevitable fails on your journey, and your relationship with your Patron meant you felt held. Supported. Safe.
Without the backing of a Spirit of that level your development can only go so far and you are less anchored.
After all, working in a company and having a great relationship with the CEO has it’s perks.
This is the world of the dead. Go and meet the CEO.
